…..My Twitter Friends
This is a new feature for me in my continued effort to grow my blog. Normally I’ll be looking at my favourite new item, product or place each week, bu this week im dedicating it too (some of) of favourite people on Twitter.
Since starting my blog I have met some wonderful people, some in person and some only through cyber space, but they all have touched my life and inspired me in one way or another.
I’m a relative newbie on the blog scene, my blog has only been properly established for 2 months, but it’s really taking off and I am so truly touched by the amount of followers I have gained and the amount of support I have received.
With this in mind I thought I’d repay the love and give a big shout out to the people that have had a positive influence on me and my blog over the past two months.
Becky Cowing (@Beckycowing) – This lovely lady is in the same boat as me, started a blog, looking for someone to take a chance on her and give her some work experience in the field she’s interested (she’s just lucky enough to be about 8 years my junior!). Becky also secured me tickets to my first ever fashion show during London Fashion Week – for this I will be eternally grateful!
Lauren Westood (@WestwoodRocks) – I was sent some press samples this week from Westwood Rocks and fell immediately in love with the talent of this fine lady! Then I sat down and read the biography sent with the samples and was truly taken aback by the amazing journey and entrepreneurial spirit of Lauren – truly inspired by her, one of those people that make you believe that anything is possible with hard work and determination.
Dave Monk (@DaveMonkShow) – Well, what can I say – he was brave enough to let me on the airwaves of Essex and had given me some great advice! Thanks to being on his show I have had some interesting offers of help – for more on this take a look at my ‘a lot can happen from one little tweet’ post
JJ Miller (@Love_London) – JJ has been so kind and supportive towards me and my quest of becoming a freelance writer, even letting me contribute pieces to her wonderful website www.thislittleladywenttolondon.com. Alongside this JJ works for Cloud9 a recruitment agency that specialises in social media roles, through her tweets about his job I have learnt so much about an industry I am interested.
I also must give a special Mention to; Helen Latimer (@HFLatimer), Lara Boyle (@beautyandthebib), Kimberly Morton (@LTBSuffolk), Vodka and Roses (@vodkaandroses) and Baby Shower Experts (@beforebaby) for their help, wonderful blogs, inspiration, wonderful press samples and for generally just being fab!
